Senior Designer (web-focus)

We are looking for a very talented interactive designer to join us in our San Francisco (or Portland) office. You should have a strong web portfolio, focused on design and user experience of conceptually enviable and functionally seamless web experiences, whether for household name brands or lesser-known but design-savvy niche companies.
If you’ve got the technical ability to bring your own concepts to life through a strong knowledge of CSS, HTML, that’s all the better. But if you don’t, one of the great benefits of being here is the chance to work with our in-house development and technology team to execute your vision, rather than grappling with contractors or those who see design as the tail that can’t wag the dog. You should, at least, understand enough about development to speak the language and make the most of the medium.
Hopefully you’re that rare combination of responsible go-getter who’s also really nice? Ideally you have at least 4 years of design experience in a similar role, with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (or the confidence to come in and show us why that’s irrelevant).
